It all began with a man and a dream.

* * *

Eddie Coleman Wines began in the heart of his nine-year-old grandson Vincent Hucks, who drew pictures and proclaimed that one day he would build it. As Vincent grew up and drove along highway 101 from Monterey to southern California, he kept seeing those grapevines and knew God had called him to grow and create this brand.  Fifty years later, the dream came to fruition.

“I want Eddie Coleman Wines to be one of the finest wineries and vineyards in terms of flavor, taste profile, and community. I want it to speak to people about care of the land and of each other, to be an example of how we can grow together as a community, and of the people that are touched by the wines we create,” says Vince.

"When I think of my grandfather, Eddie Lee Coleman, I think about his warmth, his big laugh, and his smile. I think how he loved his family and how he loved the earth. I see a tall man who was a soldier, who taught that life to his child, my mom. That same soldier life was taught to me. That includes hard work, dedication, focus, and the accomplishment of goals one at a time, so that as a whole, we all win together. Eddie Coleman also loved to cook. He would put in seasoning to add flavor profiles that were unexpected and amazing. That’s what I see going into Eddie Coleman Wines—flavor profiles that are not expected, but every bit as amazing."

Why is Paso Robles the home of Eddie Coleman Wines? "Paso Robles tells a story without speaking out loud. It tells a story in the hills, in the land, in the sun. It’s a story that I could sense every time I drove through the land for the last 35 years. I knew right away it’s the place where God wanted me to plant this vision. Paso Robles comes alive in every glass of Eddie Coleman Wines."

“The richness, the texture, and flavor of Eddie Coleman Wines all say, I'm from Paso Robles, California, and
I have a rich heritage.”
